About MarzGurl

At the turn of the century, a character was created. Three high school friends discussed writing a sci-fi/fantasy web comic together, with one of the three of them as the lead artist. The artist designed characters to represent each of the three high school friends--a winged demon woman, a klutzy fairy woman, and an alien woman from outer space. Just as art, plot, and a logo were being developed, tensions arose in the group, and for a while the friends split ways. The artist requested to have permission to make the comic by herself, using only the winged demon woman. The comic sadly never lasted long. But the characters--representations of the friends who once had a dream--continued to live on in online spaces.

Today, the three friends have long since reconciled, and while the comic as originally conceptualized never came into existence, one alien from outer space continued to push through into our world. Somehow, surviving IRC and Java chatrooms and BBS/message boards, "MarzGurl" remained consistent over the long years, unchanging, waiting for the right time to become reality. Now, through the ever evolving technology of the Internet and the rise of livestreaming, MarzGurl takes her place in front of the world as a VTuber, moving into a more living, breathing space than could ever have been thought possible many years before.

MarzGurl, obviously arriving from the planet Mars, is a pacifist by nature but carries a ray gun in the event of trouble--though she'd rather never use it! She broadcasts all communications from her spaceship, from which she monitors Earth behavior and has become especially fond of Earth media. Anime and video games have taken a particularly strong hold of her attention as of late. She invites you to come along with her while she explores these mediums, wanting to meet and talk to all kinds of new and interesting people.

Through many trials and tribulations, MarzGurl lives on! Let's go on an adventure together!
